How Hengtong Delivers Workwear for 5,000+ Enterprises Without Chaos: Our Delivery Service Standard

The last mile of a uniform order is often the messiest: mixed cartons, long distribution queues, slow restocking. After 18 years and 5,000+ corporate clients, Hengtong has codified its delivery service standard — published here in full.

For procurement teams, the tensest phase of a uniform project is often not production but what happens after bulk goods arrive: hundreds of sizes mixed across dozens of cartons, admin staff hunting for sizes against name lists, and employees waiting for restocks. Having served 5,000+ enterprise clients across manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, and education over 18 years, Hengtong has codified delivery into a service standard. We publish it here — and it doubles as a checklist for evaluating any uniform supplier.

Before delivery: solve distribution during production

Pack by roster, not by ratio. We collect the distribution roster (department, name, size) before production ends and pack garments per person rather than estimating size ratios per department. This cuts distribution errors from an industry-typical 3-5% to under 0.5%.

Individual packaging. Each employee's set is sealed in one bag, labeled with department, name, size, and style code. Admin staff simply hand out bags — no carton digging on distribution day.

Three-level packing lists. Carton, bag, and person are cross-numbered. A 1,000-garment intake can be verified against packing lists in about ten minutes.

During delivery: staged arrival and on-site support

Bulk orders default to two batches — first for current staff, second for new hires and season changes — with the schedule locked in the contract's delivery clause. Within Suzhou we deliver with our own vehicles, down to floor-level drop-off for large sites; out-of-town orders ship with full tracking and a 48-hour arrival notice. For orders above 1,000 units, our team can be on site to support first-day distribution.

After delivery: response time commitments

Item Commitment
Defective or wrong-size replacement Free within 15 days of acceptance
Size exchange (unworn) Within 30 days, no handling fee
Small top-up orders for new hires 7 working days (standard styles)
Seasonal bulk restocking Priority production scheduling

These timelines mirror our warranty clauses and are written into contracts. Small top-up orders — the bane of admin teams, often refused by suppliers — carry a 7-working-day commitment for existing clients on standard styles.

Why we publish this

Delivery capability is far harder to fake than a quotation. Ask any prospective workwear supplier three questions: Do you pack by roster or by ratio? Are restocking deadlines written into the contract? Do you accept small top-up orders? The answers reveal most of what you need to know — the same logic behind our factory audit checklist.
